Find a comfortable seated or lying position

Say a prayer out loud or silently for guidance for your practice
Or feel yourself connected to Spirit, God, Source, Creation, Oneness

Bring awareness to your breath
Notice your in-breath
Notice your out-breath
Do this for a few breath cycles or longer

Allow yourself to become aware of a place of stillness or what you think of of or feel as the center of your being
Breathe into this place
Keep your focus here
Notice any images or colors that come up
If your mind wanders, gently bring it back

Say a prayer silently or out loud, giving thanks for your practice and blessings
Or feel yourself connected to Spirit, Source, God, Creation, Oneness

Find a comfortable seated or lying position

Bring awareness to your breath
Notice your in-breath
Notice your out-breath
Do this for a few breath cycles or longer

The next time you breathe out, follow the breath as it turns and becomes the in-breath
Then follow the in-breath as it turns and becomes the out-breath
Do this for a few breath cycles or longer

Bring awareness to your body
Notice any expansion or relaxation in your body as you breathe

Bring awareness to your hips and pelvic floor
Notice any expansion in your hips or pelvic floor as you breathe in
And relaxation as you breathe out

See if you can imagine the expansion as you breathe in going beyond your hips
You might imagine your breath going through your hips in all directions
You might imagine your hips disappearing
The expansion or breath goes out in all directions beyond your physical body
As you breathe in, the breath comes back into your core from all directions

Bring awareness to your rib cage
Notice any expansion in your rib cage as you breathe in
And relaxation as you breathe out

See if you can imagine the expansion as you breathe in going beyond your rib cage
You might imagine your breath going through your rib cage in all directions
You might imagine your rib cage disappearing
The expansion or breath goes out in all directions beyond your physical body
As you breathe in, the breath comes back into your core from all directions

Bring awareness to your heart and chest
Notice any expansion in your heart and chest as you breathe in
And relaxation as you breathe out

See if you can imagine the expansion as you breathe in going beyond your heart and chest
You might imagine your breath going through your heart and chest in all directions
You might imagine your heart and chest disappearing
The expansion or breath goes out in all directions beyond your physical body

Notice how that space feels
Notice how you feel

Bring awareness to your heart and chest
Notice how that space feels
Notice how you feel

If you can, bring awareness to both your third eye and your heart
Notice if these spaces feel connected
Notice how you feel

If any part of this is challenging or you feel anxious or either of these places feels tense, “closed,” or inaccessible, pray

Ask for guidance in being able to feel both your third eye and heart open and in harmony
Ask for guidance in opening your third eye and heart and bringing them into harmony
